Night 8 / TRIGGER WARNING: Blood/fonon eating, general trauma

Taking advantage of there being no guards or gargoyles around, and the Lord and his entourage going out to the Town, Sync snuck up to the third floor to explore a little. He managed to look around a bit before an ill-advised fonon ping caught the attention of the two Eyeless Lads that remained on the third floor.

They caught him and dragged him to a side room, where they pinned him to a table via a knife through the palms of his hands. This revealed to them that his blood, when it's not in contact with the rest of his body, reverts back into Seventh fonons which are rather golden and glowy. It turns out the Eyeless Lads are magic eaters, and fonons qualify. After cutting through his shirt and using it to tie his legs down, they proceed to cut his chest around the glyph on it along with his shoulders, lapping at the blood to eat the fonons he was basically made up of.

After awhile he passes out, and wakes up dumped in a corner of the room with the Scaled Boy, Zeph, and the young unicorn foal bought from the night market. Both are also injured, and Zeph has tried to bandage Sync's hands to stop the blood loss. They bond a little bit. Sync is undergoing mild fonon separation at this point, flicking in places.

Not long after, Hibari is summoned to the third floor, with Murtagh coming with him. Combining the Cloud Flames with his healing skill, Murtagh manages to heal both Zeph and Sync. It only helps for a short time, as once the pair leave, the Eyeless Lads return for round two. Instead of instantly pinning his hands down with knives, one of them tries instead to pin him with its body which is enough to trigger near-total mental shutdown. Eventually he passes out and they dump him in the corner again before grabbing Zeph.

This repeats throughout the night, until eventually the Lads bring in a new prize: Luke.

Sometime later, Hibari returns, has an unhappy, and leaves. Closer to midnight, he returns with another in tow: Asch who'd finally picked up that something was wrong with his replica. There's a short scuffle in which one of the Eyeless Lads is knocked over and dizzied enough to glitch in a way, which lets Hibari and Asch off the hook a little. They're allowed to tend to the captives, with Asch focusing on the two replicas.

There's next to nothing that they can do though, and Sync sort of blue-screens at finding that they're going to have to endure it until dawn. Asch hugs him and he sort of shuts down completely due to Bad.
